IKO KITEBOARDING LESSON PACKAGES IN NY:
01. Introduction to kiteboarding LAND COURSE
This is a 2 hr course were you will learn about the wind and its effects on kiting.
How to choose a safe location. Fly a trainer kite 3M. How to setup a kite. Kite launching -landing procedures and signs. Learn about all safety systems..
Maximum of 2 students. $175 PP
02. Introduction to kiteboarding WATER COURSE-1
This is a 2-3 hrs course ( Depending on wind ) were you will learn to fly a water kite. Launch and land the water kite. How to use the power from the kite to body drag. Re-launching the kite in the water. Fly the kite with one hand. Self rescue and intro to water start.
Maximum of 1 student. $100 PP an hr. ($75 PP with your gear )
03. Introduction to kiteboarding WATER COURSE-2
For students who have already completed land and water course 1. This course is a 2-3 hrs course were you will be working on water starts and how to ride upwind and be self sufficient.
Maximum 2 students. $120 PP an hr. ( $100 PP with your gear )
04. Intermediate and Advanced
This is a supervised course for the rider who need help staying upwind, wants to learn transitions, ride toeside, learn jumps or freestyle tricks.
Maximum 2 students. $125 PP
05. From ZERO to HERO
This is the complete course for the absolute beginner to a self-sufficient rider. Everything included.
Approximately 12 hrs of instruction. $1100 PP

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Many people offer kiteboarding lessons; however, it is important to find an instructor that has at least PASA (Professional Air Sports Association) and/or IKO (International Kiteboarding Organization) certification. If your instructor does not have either of those certifications then he/she is teaching without the Worldwide support and recognition from the leading Kitesurfing certification organizations.
Having either of these certifications will assure you that your instructor has spent a surmountable period of time under the watchful eyes of Professional Kitesurfing Instructors and also that your instructor has proper insurance, will teach you in a safe, Professional and fun environment.
