For 2011 Airush put out a foot strap/pad called the AFT III D3o Pad/Strap.  This product is amazing and extremely comfortable for your feet.  You just put your foot in the strap and pull on the lacing system and then simply lock the lever on the side of the strap, DONE.  you can quickly set the strap to fit any sized foot in seconds.  No more fussing with foot straps getting loose and spending time undoing velcro to adjust.

Lycra covered biomimetic thermoformed EVA arms allow an all encompassing foot system that secures the foot without any hard edges and seamless integration from EVA pad to EVA arms.  This enables the use of a sleeve strap, that is lighter and moves in conjunction with your foots’ natural movement.  A side stiffening plate ensures structural and smooth  sliding of the EVA arms during their contraction around the foot during tightening.

Robinson is a rising star from Cabarete, Dominican Republic. In his international debut competition, Robinson scored 2nd place at the Heineken Puerto Rico Regatta.
In June of 2010, Robinson finished 2nd in the DR National Championships behind his mentor and fellow F-One and CosmicKites.com team rider Alex Soto. Unfortunately, due to his young age and limited resources, Robinson has not been able to compete much on the international scene.
Recognizing this talent, F-One Kiteboarding intends to change that.

Robinson is currently a professional rider and assistant at Kite Club, Cosmic Kites Kiteboarding School partner on Kite Beach in Cabarete. Together, Cosmic Kites and F-One provide everything from English classes to the kite gear required for Robinson to nurture his talent and fulfill his dream of becoming the best freestyle kiteboarder in the world.

At 17 years of age, Robinson is a dedicated kiter with 6 years of kiteboarding experience and can be best described as a force. His nickname: Robhila. While on the water, Robinson exhibits no fear, able to hang with the best of the Dominican riders. Off the water, he is a mischievous jokester with a great sense of humor.
F-One and Cosmic look forward to helping Robinson grow as a kiter and as a role model to that next generation of kite beach kids who look up to him just as he looked up to Alex. We are excited to have Robinson on board, and expect great things from him in the near future as Robinson and Alex will be part the 2011 world tour.

After a last minute VISA approval, Cosmickites.com and F-One Kiteboarding Americas sent Team Riders Alex Soto and Robinson Hilario to Puerto Rico just in time to catch the first kiteboarding heat of the 6th annual Puerto Rico Heineken International Regatta. The Freestyle and Big Air competitions were held at the Palmas Del Mar Yacht Club near Humacao on the south east coast of Puerto Rico. The event marked the first time the Puerto Rican Sailing Federation, a member of the International Sailing Federation (ISAF), included a Kiteboarding Class at a major regatta. Officially called the Heineken Kiteboarding Challenge, the event was organized by Pedro Rodriguez of KiteboardingPR.com under the rules and guidelines of the IKA and PKRA.

"Now that the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) has recognized kiteboarding as an official International Class Association, we wanted to be the first major regatta in the Caribbean to offer a kiteboarding class as well as our traditional dinghy event and yacht racing classes," said regatta director, Angel Ayala. "We succeed beyond our expectations by having 30 kiteboarders register and welcoming the participation of two professional freestyle riders from the Dominican Republic, Alex Soto and Robinson Hilario."

The event kicked off on Friday, March 18th in 13 knots of south east side shore wind at beautiful Candelero Beach. The first day of competition was capped with a Grey Goose VIP party at the new marina building. No heats were held on Saturday due to a light 8 knot wind, but that was enough for competitors to have some fun on a 15m Bandit 3 with 39m lines (!) and a 6’8” Ches Custom Course racing board. The wind returned on Sunday, although from the opposite direction, with Alex Soto (Cabarete, DR), Robinson Hilario (Cabarete, DR), Paulo Dias (Puerto Rico) and Puerto Rican local F-One rider Freddy Zamora competing in the final heat. After a blistering series of freestyle moves, Alex Soto took first, 16 year-old Robinson Hilario took second and Freddy Zamora took third. Finally, to cap off an incredible event, the riders downwinded to the Palmas Del Mar Yacht Club where they put on a kiteboarding exhibition to the pleasant surprise of the hundreds of sailing enthusiasts gathered for the regatta.

After winning, Alex Soto said “I love Puerto Rico! It feels great to be traveling and competing internationally again and I finally got to compete in the US. It was really cool and funny to watch Robinson go on his first trip and compete. I’m really excited to start the 2010 season with my new sponsors F-One, Cosmic Kites and Airbound Apparel. Also, gracias por todo to my man Jose Cassenova who organized the whole event and treated our team like royalty, shuttling us around the event, stocking our fridge and giving us VIP passes to all the nightlife. But now I’m just really looking forward to staying focused and kicking off my PKRA in France next month.”

Check out my new personal favorite kite, The 2009 RRD Obsession.  This kite boosts the biggest airs of any kite I have flown yet and is so fun in the surf.  Tons of depower, super stable, just an all around amazing kite.

Also, the new 2009 Best Waroo is incredible.  Best has kept the price low and the performance characteristics high.  I first flew this kite in Cabarete at a dealer meeting.  I only rode this kite the entire time I was there.  As usual Best knows how to make a kite fun.  This kite produces some nice airs, great fun in the waves, and of course easy relaunchability.

You can redeem your points at a rate of 20 points = $1!  That means, if you spend $1,200 you earn 1,200 points, 1,200 points = $60 good towards any and all gear in the store.

You earn 5% on each order which will be applied to all future orders!!

How do I know how many points I have?

• If you are logged in just look up top of this page, you will see your account balance
• Otherwise, Log into your account here
  
• You should see in the welcome message how much you have
• Alternatively, you can click on modify profile and you will see the total points you have left at the top.

Do I have to create an account to collect points?

• Yes. In order for us to track how many points you earn and spend, we need for you to have an account.
  
• You also need to log into your account to be able to spend your points.

How do I use my points to pay or help pay for an order?

• Log into your account
• Add items to your cart
• Upon checkout, select "Pay with Points" payment method.
• Enter the amount of points you want to apply to this order
• Click "Submit Order"
• You will immediately see your points discount.  If you don't have enough points to pay for the entire order, the cart will prompt you for another payment method

Cabarete was amazing.  Perfect wind EVERY Day.  Kited at least 7 hours each day in incredible flat water and then long downwinders back to base camp.  It was awesome flying the newest Best kites.  The Waroo, Nemesis and Guroo were all incredible kites.  Typical Best quality and workmanship.

A Massive Open Ocean Downwinder from Sandy Hook New Jersey to Long Beach New York. 5 miles of Ocean Crossing and 18 miles of New York Coastline will make this multi-state downwinder an epic ride! There will be a two week wind window with advance notice of the go date. This ride is for advanced riders only, sorry! We will be busing the riders from Long Beach to Sandy Hook where we will depart. The weather was not the best (chilly and side-off conditions); however, there was enough wind to kite and people did take advantage of it. Tons of new kiters were introduced to the sport thanks to the trainer kites available and the indestructible Eclipse Kites.
